Kerala backwaters specialists
Kerala backwaters, a slower kind of India holiday.
A houseboat drifting through the Alleppey backwaters, tea gardens in the Munnar hills, and beaches to finish — Kerala is the trip we send people on when they want to properly slow down, honeymoon or not.

We didn’t build this business to sell fares. We built it to stay part of the community.
Patel Travel started as, and still is, a family business serving London’s Indian community — Gujarati, Punjabi, Hindi and Urdu spoken in the office, not just on a translation app. We know the festival calendar, the wedding season, and the families who’ve booked with us for a decade or more.
Languages spoken
Gujarati, Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu & English — ask for someone in your language.
Festival-aware
We plan around Diwali, Navratri and wedding season, not just school holidays.
Word of mouth
Most of our clients are referred by family or friends we’ve already looked after.
Meet Mr. Patel
Patel Travel has always felt like family, not a booking engine. Mr. Patel is the face of that: the reminder that behind every reply is someone who understands the itinerary and the culture, and won’t rest until it’s sorted.
Recent Kerala trips
“Our honeymoon package was exactly the pace we asked for — nothing rushed, nothing wasted.”
“The houseboat night was the highlight of the whole trip — they picked a genuinely good one, not a tourist trap.”
Kerala backwaters — common questions
Is a houseboat stay worth including?
Most people who do it say yes — a night or two drifting through the backwaters is a genuinely different pace to the rest of an India trip.
How many days do we need for Kerala?
8-10 days is comfortable for backwaters, hills and a beach stretch — shorter is possible if you’re combining it with another region.
Is Kerala good for a honeymoon?
Yes — it’s one of our most-booked honeymoon routes, and we can arrange quieter resorts and houseboat upgrades if that’s the occasion.
